Circulus Signs Long-Term Agreement to Supply Nova Chemicals with Recycled Polyethylene
November 17, 2021

Coming just one week after launching its US operations with its first consumer resins plant, post-consumer resin (PCR) producer Circulus has signed a long-term agreement to supply its recycled Polyethylene (rPE) to NOVA Chemicals.

NOVA Chemicals said the agreement expands its sources of (PCR) and portfolio and increases available supply for customers to achieve their packaging sustainability goals.

NOVA Chemicals' added that with demand for high quality PCR plastic in packaging forecasted to increase significantly, the agreement with Circulus sets the stage for a strategic relationship with opportunity for future growth.

Circulus produces a linear low-density/low-density recycled polyethylene blend (rLLDPE/LDPE), at its Riverbank, California, which is designed to produce an excess of 40 million lb/yr. The company is also developing plants in Oklahoma, Alabama, the Midwest, and the Northeast, with additional locations being developed based on supply and demand.
