SK Capital Subsidiary IPACKCHEM Acquires Mullackal Polymers
November 09, 2021

SK Capital's packaging solutions supplier IPACKCHEM Group has signed a definitive agreement to partner with India's Mullackal Polymers Private Limited, a crop protection packaging provider in India, via an acquisition of the business.

The partnership with Mullackal will allow IPACKCHEM to establish its presence in India's market and position it for future expansion in the country. IPACKCHEM CEO JP Morvan said by leveraging his company's sustainable barrier technology, Mullackal will be positioned to provide recyclable packaging for customers in India, while leveraging Mullackal's proprietary caps technology across the IPACKCHEM product portfolio.

With three facilities in Western India, Mullackal manufactures HDPE and barrier plastic containers, caps, and measuring cups for India's crop protection and specialty chemical industry.

"This transaction is core to our strategy of being the leading global barrier packaging player serving crop protection and specialty chemicals customers," said Morvan, who added that IPACKCHEM will continue to aggressively pursue acquisitions in new geographies, including North America.

The transaction is expected to close towards the end of 2021.
