Tide Rock Expands Plastics and Component Manufacturing with Altratek Plastics Acquisition
11/04/2021

California-based Strategic holding company Tide Rock Holdings has acquired Colorado-based custom injection molding and tooling company Altratek Plastics for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will increase Tide Rock's mid-tonnage injection molding capacity, adding capabilities and expertise in robot-assisted automated production, and expand industry coverage to include commercial, industrial, and specialty consumer products.

CEO of Interconnect Solutions Company, Plastics Design and Manufacturing (PDM) and Pikes Peak, will also lead Altratek as CEO, working alongside Dan Kaven, President and former Owner of Altratek, to ensure a smooth transition.

Back in May Tide Rock raised $100 million in capital to acquiring profitable lower middle market businesses, and since then the company has acquired Pikes Peak Plastics, a full-service plastics injection molding and component manufacturing company, and PDM, a custom plastic heavy gauge thermoforming, which were both brought on to expand its plastics and component manufacturing capabilities.
