Tide Rock Holdings Grows its Plastics Manufacturing with Pikes Peak Plastics Acquisition
October 05, 2021

California-based Tide Rock Holdings has acquired Colorado-based plastic injection molding and component manufacturing company Pikes Peak Plastics as its seventh portfolio company for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition strategically expands Tide Rock's plastics manufacturing capabilities to include thermoforming, overmolding, and injection molding. Tide Rock entered the plastics component manufacturing industry in May 2020 by acquiring Plastics Design & Manufacturing ("PDM"), a manufacturing of custom heavy-gauge thermoformed plastics parts.

Tide Rock said Interconnect Solutions Company and PDM CEO Michael Engler will lead Pikes Peak Plastics alongside Hal Alameddine, President and former owner of the company, who will serve as an industry consultant and strategic advisor to Engler.

With this acquisition, we will increase our synergies and reduce the value stream across all our businesses; and we will have a reliable, compatible solution built in the US," said Engler. "This gives us an onshore solution as a response to the global supply chain challenges facing everyone today."
