Dallas Plastics Expands HDPE Reach with Latest Acquisition
June 09, 2021

Dallas Plastics has expanded its presence in the High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) market with the recent announcement it has acquired Massachusetts-based Hi-De Liners, a Blown HDPE and Linear Low-Density Polyethylene film (LLDPE) manufacturer, selling primarily to the industrial and converter end markets.

Details of the transaction, announced last week, were not disclosed, but with the deal, Dallas Plastics will add a fourth manufacturing facility to its US operations located. Headquartered in Mesquite, Texas, the company's other locations are in Longview, Texas, and Wentzville, Missouri.

Dallas Plastics, a Sole Source Capital portfolio company, manufactures converter-grade films for printing, laminating, and automated packaging. Some of its other specialty films include narrow-width layflat tubing, critical tolerance films, non-scratch LDPE, and high-tensile drawtape for drawstring bags.

Sole Source Capital acquired Dallas Plastics in October 2020.
