Polyethylene

Transacted volumes of spot Polyethylene were low this past week, but not necessarily for a lack of demand. As September draws near, and a fresh $.05/lb price increase comes into play, suppliers are pulling back their offers, with some returning at higher levels. Polypropylene

After several weeks of stable prices, the spot Polypropylene market edged another penny higher this past week. Spot PP has rallied $.10/lb from the season’s low point in early/mid-June. While some offgrade railcars are still coming through the spot market, offers have dwindled into month-end.
